Sting Ringette Club hosting comedy night fundraiser for trip to Europe

The Central Alberta AA Ringette Club is sending a team to compete in both Sweden and Finland in the spring of 2019. We look forward to making friends with girls from different cultures with a shared passion for the sport we all love.
Our athletes are full-time students who train four times a week. These athletes are all under the age of 16 and committed to fundraise their entire trip so that when people tell them how lucky they are, they can proudly say they earned it!
We strongly believe that opportunities far bigger than winning championships are provided by sport if you dream big and work hard. It is about overcoming adversity and living with passion, dedication and teamwork. It teaches positive self-image and countless other life lessons that are important to all young athletes.
On May 5, the Sting are hosting a fundraising comedy night, the “Sting Zing,” at the Lacombe Memorial Centre. The event features cash bar, hor’s doeurves, silent auction and great entertainment from comedians Mike Dambra, Ken Hicks and Shawn Gramiak.
