Clearview Public Schools staff lend a hand at Ronald McDonald House

STETTLER- In 2016-17 Clearview Public Schools created a wellness fund to help support staff health and wellness initiatives at schools and worksites.

Each year schools and sites apply for funding to enhance, celebrate or share information for health and wellness for staff.

One of the team building activities was to help the families staying at Ronald McDonald House in Red Deer by volunteering to cook a meal.

On April 7, seven staff members from Clearview’s central office prepared a brunch for the parents and children.

This was made possible by Clearview donating the purchase of the groceries for the meal through the wellness fund.

Barb Gano organized the volunteering opportunity for the Clearview group.

“Getting together as a staff to do activities helps build and strengthen relationships among our central office team,” shared Barb Gano.  “Preparing a meal at Ronald McDonald House was such an awesome thing to do and we left with such a great feeling as the families are so appreciative.”
