Applications being taken for Community Recreation Enhancement Grant

RED DEER- Non-profit groups are invited to submit applications to the Community Recreation Enhancement Grant program offered by The City of Red Deer.

The program provides funding to enhance the delivery of community recreation programs, services and events in Red Deer.

“We recognize the important contribution made by non-profit recreation organizations that offer recreation opportunities and events in our community,” said Deb Comfort, Recreation’s Neighbourhood Facilities and Sport Supervisor. “This micro grant program supports fitness, play, sport, activity and outdoor pursuits for Red Deerians.”

Applications are accepted two times per year.

Completed applications must be submitted prior to the deadlines of April 3 or October 1, 2018.

Interested groups are invited to attend an optional information workshop on Thursday, March 8 that will outline the grant application and reporting process.

The workshop will be held from 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. at G.H. Dawe Community Centre (56 Holt Street).
