Canada Day ball hockey tourney to raise funds for twinning of Blackfalds ice rink

The latest fundraiser for the Blackfalds Dual Ice Development Society should be a really fun one.

DIDS is attempting to raise a million dollars to go towards the twinning of the lone indoor ice rink in Blackfalds.

Renderings from the Town are expected out in June.

On July 1, the society is hosting a Canada 150 4-on-4 ball hockey tournament at the Blackfalds Multiplex.

Teams have a 13 player maximum and are guaranteed to play in at least three 30-minute full arena games. There will also be beer gardens and cash prizes for the top teams.
