2nd annual “Touch-a-Truck” event goes this weekend

May 10, 2017 | 4:08 PM

The Central Alberta Crime Prevention Centre is hosting its second annual “Touch-a-Truck” event this weekend.

The family-friendly event is billed as a chance for kids of all ages to see some of their favourite trucks, tractors, and vehicles up close and meet the drivers.

More than 60 vehicles are registered to attend. Everything from snow plows and street sweepers to mobile cranes and city busses will be featured.

“Touch-a-Truck” grew from the Crime Prevention Fair held a couple of years ago and takes place during Crime Prevention Month. If the weather holds up more than 2,000 people are expected to attend.
