Re-construction of the parking lot at Red Deer’s Servus Arena, Pidherney Centre and Downtown Skate Park will start on Monday, April 30.

The Canadian Mental Health Association is celebrating its 100th Anniversary this year and CMHA – Central Alberta marked the occasion with a special luncheon at the Radisson Hotel in north Red Deer on Thursday.

The Cabinet of the Sheraton Celebrity Dance Off in Red Deer has announced $420,000 was raised at this year’s event.

Drug charges for Wetaskiwin man following Maskwacis traffic stop

A 36-year-old Wetaskiwin man is facing charges following an RCMP traffic stop in Maskwacis last week that resulted in the seizure of cash and drugs.

It happened around 8:25 p.m. on April 20 when Mounties stopped a vehicle speeding through the community.
