Apr 20, 2018 | 5:21 PM

Drayton Valley town officials say the repairs to the sinkhole stricken road near the Omniplex may take two weeks to complete.

The sinkhole was first discovered Thursday evening on 49th Avenue between Arc Bark Park and the day use Park.

The town says in a press release that the sinkhole runs underneath the road making the area and road unstable and unsafe for traffic.

A full assessment of the area has been completed and it has been determined that the culverts beneath the road need to be replaced, which could take up to two weeks to complete.
