Five Rebels crack final rankings for 2018 NHL Draft

Five members of the Red Deer Rebels are included in NHL Central Scouting's final ranking of North American skaters for the 2018 NHL Draft.

Defenceman Alexander Alexeyev is ranked 22nd and forward Kristian Reichel is ranked 53rd. Defenceman Dawson Barteaux is 133rd, forward Chris Douglas 168th and defenceman Jacob Herauf 188th.

Alexeyev moved up four spots from the midterm rankings and is ranked second-highest among WHL players, trailing only Ty Smith of the Spokane Chiefs (14th).

Reichel, in his second year of draft eligibility, moved all the way up from 80th.

The 2018 NHL Draft will be held at American Airlines Center in Dallas on June 22-23.
