More than a quarter million dollars has been raised ahead of this weekend’s Sheraton Celebrity Dance Off.

This year’s event is raising funds for the Canada Games Celebration Plaza in downtown Red Deer. The plaza will be a celebration space where cultural events and activities, inclusive play, community events and celebrations can be hosted during and after the 2019 Canada Winter Games.

Eight celebrity dancers have been working hard over the past few months to raise money for the project – Duane Daines, Mellisa Hollingsworth, Cari MacLean, Carla MacLeod, Cindy Mandrusiak, Todd Simenson, John Young, and rdnewsNOW News Director Troy Gillard.

Donations are being accepted until Saturday at noon. Visit celebritydanceoff.ca or click here to pledge one of the dancers.
