Mar 23, 2018 | 12:26 PM

A local man arrested after Red Deer RCMP seized dozens of firearms and stolen goods from a north end storage locker and a home in Highland Green last year will be back in court next month.

Mounties recovered nine guns, four crossbows, ammunition and stolen property including dirt bikes, identification and electronics as part of a larger crime reduction strategy that focuses on identifying prolific offenders.

The first bust happened Nov. 5 when Mounties searched a storage locker on 79 Street. The second bust happened Nov. 22 when officers searched a residence on 58 Avenue in Highland Green.

Andrew Scott Charpentier, 25, will be back in court April 9 to speak to 90 charges relating to the busts that include possession of stolen property, unauthorized possession of a firearm, possession of restricted firearms, and careless use of a firearm.
