Blackfalds, Lacombe Foundation & Bethany Group partner on Seniors Housing Project

BLACKFALDS- The Town of Blackfalds has partnered with the Lacombe Foundation and the Bethany Group to pursue a seniors housing project in Blackfalds.

In order to ensure that the end product meets the needs of Blackfalds seniors now and into the future, the Town is looking to include the public in the discussions.

The plans for the project include:

Design Completion August 2018 – January 2019.

The timeline for construction will be determined based on building type and financing model selected, according to Town officials who add that community consultation will determine what types of projects will be the most appropriate for the seniors of the area.

To accurately get a sense of the community’s needs, preferences and what is most important to residents, the Town of Blackfalds will be conducting a survey. It will be made available at the first public community consultation scheduled for Wednesday, March 28, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Blackfalds Community Centre. (4810 Womacks Rd.)
