A former Rocky Mountain House resident is facing multiple charges following a traffic stop in the community last weekend that saw RCMP seize significant quantities of illegal drugs.

Mounties say the traffic stop of a suspicious vehicle on March 17 resulted in the seizure of large amounts of cocaine, methamphetamine and marijuana, along with other evidence to support drug trafficking according to police.

Cole Richard Leslie, 22, has been charged with one count of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking and two counts of possession of controlled substance.

Leslie is scheduled to appear in Rocky Mountain House Court March 28.
