USports: Taraschuk perfect as Bisons blank Golden Gaels 4-0 in women’s quarters
LONDON, Ont. — Lauren Taraschuk stopped all 17 shots she faced as the Manitoba Bisons shut out the Queen’s Golden Gaels 4-0 on Friday in a quarterfinal of the Canadian university women’s hockey championship.
Alanna Sharman and Lauryn Keen had power-play goals for Manitoba, while Courtlyn Oswald and Alexandra Anderson also scored.
Stephanie Pascal made 23 saves for Queen’s.
The Bisons went 2 for 3 on the power play and the Gaels had no man advantages.
