BearCom acquires Communications Group Red Deer Ltd

A long-time Red Deer business has been acquired by North America’s largest provider of wireless communications equipment.

BearCom Group Inc, has announced it has acquired Communications Group Red Deer Ltd, a leader in the wireless industry in western Canada for more than 25 years by providing communication solutions for both voice and data.

In a release, BearCom officials say the transaction extends the company’s presence in western Canada which began with the recent acquisition of Vector Communications in Grande Prairie, Alberta. Terms of the deal however have not been announced.

“Welcoming Communications Group Red Deer to the BearCom family is a vital addition to our operations in western Canada,” said Mark Kroh, Chief Executive Officer of BearCom. “The combination of Communications Group Red Deer’s technical expertise, customer service and depth of portfolio to meet any customer’s needs, fits squarely with BearCom’s core competencies.”

As an authorized dealer for Motorola Solutions and Kenwood, Communications Group Red Deer provides sales, rentals and services for two-way radios and is an authorized Garmin dealer for GPS navigation systems in central Alberta.
