Drayton Valley RCMP arrest three after break and enter to residence

Three individuals are facing a string of charges after a break and enter to a residence in Brazeau County. 

On March 9, 2018 at approximately 3:51 A.M., Drayton Valley RCMP received a report of an intrusion alarm at a residence on Range Road 85.

Members responded and located a suspect vehicle leaving the immediate area going north bound on Range Road 85. A traffic stop was conducted with the vehicle, which was occupied by two males and one female. 

All the individuals are known to police, and both males involved have extensive Criminal Records including multiple property related offence convictions. 

Ricky David Labine, 51, formerly of Lodgepole, AB and believed to have been recently residing in the Edmonton area, is charged with Break, Enter and theft to a dwelling house, and Possession of Break in tools. 

Leo McIntyre, 46, of No Fixed Address, believed to be currently from the Edmonton area, was recently released from custody on a prior offence and is charged with Break, Enter and theft to a dwelling house, Possession of Break in tools and Possession of Methamphetamine.

McIntyre has been remanded in custody while Labine has been released by a Justice of the Peace on a recognizance. 

The 33 year old female involved was released on a Promise to Appear in Court on 3 charges awaiting to be sworn; Break and Enter, Possession of Break In Tools and Possession of Methamphetamine.

“Property Crime is a continuous and ongoing priority not only for this Detachment, but the Province as a whole for the Police,” says Staff Sergeant Malcolm Callihoo of the Drayton Valley RCMP. 

All three accused are set to appear in Provincial Court in Drayton Valley on May 1, 2018.
