Lacombe Generals to face Stony Plain in provincial final

The Lacombe Generals will face-off against the Stony Plain Eagles in this month’s Senior AAA men’s hockey provincial final.

The Generals learned which Eagles opponent they would have for the league final after Stony Plain beat Innisfail 2-0 Saturday night to win their semi-final series 4-1.

The Senior Men’s AAA best-of-seven final begins Friday, March 9 when the Generals host the Eagles at the Gary Moe Auto-Group Sportsplex in Lacombe starting at 8:30 p.m.

Below is the rest of the series schedule:

• Game 2 – Saturday, March 10 at the Glenn Hall Arena in Stony Plain – 7:30 p.m.
• Game 3 – Friday, March 16 at the Gary Moe Auto-Group Sportsplex – 8:00 p.m.
• Game 4 – Saturday, March 17 at the Glenn Hall Arena in Stony Plain – 7:30 p.m.
• Game 5 – Wednesday, March 21 at the Gary Moe Auto-Group Sportsplex – 8:00 p.m. (If necessary)
• Game 6 – Friday, March 23 at the Glenn Hall Arena in Stony Plain – 8:00 p.m. (If necessary)
• Game 7 – Wednesday, March 28 at the Gary Moe Auto-Group Sportsplex – 8:00 p.m. (If necessary)
