Red Deerians have once again shown their incredible generosity by donating five thousand pairs of socks and two thousand pairs of underwear to the Mustard Seed’s ‘Sock It To Me’ campaign.

In conjunction with Big 105 and The Drive, the sock and underwear campaign began February 13 and wrapped up March 1, with those in need in our community standing to benefit.

Scott Tilbury, Community Development Specialist with the Mustard Seed in Red Deer says they are speechless,” We are overwhelmed with emotion from the generosity of this great city,” exclaimed Tilbury.

Mustard Seed officials in Red Deer say they are currently handing out 135 pairs of socks on-average at every meal they serve on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, providing 156 evening dinners per year on-average. This amounts to over 21,000 pairs of socks and underwear every year.
