CALGARY – The driver of a tour bus that rolled unexpectedly, killing a woman in Banff National Park, has been fined and will lose his driver’s licence for one month.

Jian Song was driving a bus operated by Amazing Travel in Calgary that pulled into the Castle Mountain Lookout on Sept. 21, 2016.

After the passengers and driver disembarked to take in the view the vehicle rolled, killing a 53-year-old woman and seriously injuring another tourist before coming to rest in the Bow River.

Song was charged last March under the Traffic Act and was convicted of improperly parking on a hill.
