Kayser, Costello named RDC Athletes of the Week

RDC Athletics is out with their latest Boston Pizza Athlete of the Week.

Chanelle Kayser – Queens Volleyball
Hometown – Calgary, AB
Bachelor of Science Nursing (5th year)

Kayser reached a significant milestone of 2,000 assists in Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) play this past weekend as she helped the Queens earn a split in their two matches against the Ambrose University Lions.

Despite the Lions taking the match on Saturday, the fifth-year student-athlete contributed 17 assists, 13 digs, 1 kill and 1 stuff block. The Bachelor of Science Nursing student accumulated 29 assists, 7 digs, 1 service ace, 1 kill and 1 stuff block in the Queens’ three set victory at RDC on Sunday.

Trevor Costello – Kings Hockey
Hometown – Chestermere, AB
Management Certificate (2nd year)

Costello played an important role this past weekend in helping the RDC Kings Hockey team earn three out of a possible four points in the standings.

Friday in Calgary, the second-year Management Certificate student scored the third goal for RDC in a 4-3 overtime decision for the SAIT Trojans.

The defenceman from Chestermere struck in double overtime on a beautiful backhand to help the RDC Kings earn a 3-2 home victory.
