New programs and new age groups are highlighting the return of the Central Alberta Basketball Club which is now returning for its third straight year in 2018.

Officials say the club will be running both its Queens and Kings elite programs and offer teams at the U17, U15 and U13 age levels. A Junior Queens Development program will also be offered for athletes graduating high school.

Tryouts will take place April 7 and 8, with specific times and locations to be announced through the website and social media in coming weeks.

Club officials say they are excited to build on an extremely successful 2017 that saw both the U17 Kings and Queens medal at major tournaments and produce talented players that are playing major roles on their high school squads.

In addition, both the RDC Kings and Queens basketball teams have several players that have participated in the club over the last few years on their current rosters.

According to CABC officials, the elite team program aims to grow the game and build athletes into post-secondary caliber players.
