Senior AAA Playoffs start next weekend

The Senior AAA Provincial Semi-finals schedules are now set.

The Lacombe Generals will take on the Fort Saskatchewan Chiefs in one best-of-seven while the Innisfail Eagles will tangle with the Stony Plain Eagles in the other.

The winners of each series will move on to battle for the provincial title and a berth at the 2018 Allan Cup in Rosetown, Saskatchewan.

Lacombe (1) vs. Fort Saskatchewan (4)

Game 1 – Sunday, Feb. 18 – 2:30 p.m. in Fort Saskatchewan
Game 2 – Monday, Feb. 19 – 2:30 p.m. in Lacombe
Game 3 – Saturday, Feb. 24 – 7:30 p.m. in Lacombe
Game 4 – Sunday, Feb. 25 – 2:15 p.m. in Fort Saskatchewan
*Game 5 – Thursday, March 1 – 8 p.m. in Lacombe
*Game 6 – Saturday, March 3 – 8:15 in Fort Saskatchewan
*Game 7 – Sunday, March 4 – 5 p.m. in Lacombe

Stony Plain (2) vs. Innisfail (3)

Game 1 – Sunday, Feb. 18 – 8:15 p.m. in Stony Plain
Game 2 – Wednesday, Feb. 21 – 8:45 p.m. in Innisfail
Game 3 – Saturday, Feb. 24 – 7:30 p.m. in Stony Plain
Game 4 – Sunday, Feb. 25 – 7 p.m. in Innisfail
*Game 5 – Saturday, March 3 – 7:30 p.m. in Stony Plain
*Game 6 – Sunday, March 4 – 5 p.m. in Innisfail

This Friday, the Generals and Stony Plain will meet in a one-game playoff (8:30 p.m. in Lacombe) to determine who will visit the Rosetown Redwings to decide this year’s Allan Cup West Hockey league champion.
