Emily White had a great weekend at both ends of the court and she helped lead the RDC Queens to a pair of wins over the tough Medicine Hat College Rattlers who are ranked fifth in the Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA). On Friday, the third-year student-athlete contributed 15 points, 2 assists and a remarkable 13 rebounds as she helped the Queens convincingly defeat the Rattlers 61-37. In Saturday’s 55-52 victory, the Management Certificate student accumulated 13 points, 1 block, 1 steal and 7 rebounds. Emily played a big role in helping the Queens earn four out of a possible four points in the standings this past weekend and she was named the player-of-thegame in both home games.
2. Omon Edobar – Kings Basketball
Hometown – Calgary, AB
Academic Upgrading (1st year)
Omon Edobar was a key contributor for the RDC Kings this past weekend in two home games against a talented Medicine Hat College Rattlers team. The Rattlers are ranked eighth in the CCAA. Despite dropping Friday’s game 88-83, the first-year student-athlete totaled 24 points, 1 steal, 3 assists and 3 rebounds. In the Kings’ 83-82 win on Saturday, the 6’3” guard added 23 points, 2 steals, 2 assists and 1 rebound. Omon sank a clutch three-pointer late to help the Kings earn a home victory. He was also named the player-of-the-game in both games.
