The reigning WHL Goaltender of the Week now has his first WHL shutout.

Ethan Anders made 33 saves to backstop the Red Deer Rebels to a 2-0 road win Wednesday night over the Saskatoon Blades.

Jacob Herauf scored what ended up as the game winning goal just 1:49 into the game.

Red Deer native Josh Tarzwell scored an empty net goal with 1:07 remaining in the third period.

Anders outduelled Tyler Brown, who made 24 saves in net for the Blades.

The Rebels came up empty on their lone power play of the game while holding the Blades to 0/4.

Next up for the Rebels on their eastern road trip is a date with the Moose Jaw Warriors on Friday (6 p.m. on 106.7 The Drive).
