A seasonal parking ban is now in effect for the Town of Drayton Valley.

The ban includes 50 Ave from 54 Street to 43 Street, and sections of 50 Street from 46 Avenue up to 50 Ave and a chunck from 52 Avenue to Industrial Road.

All parked vehicles need to be removed from the route and any vehicles left on the route will be subject to ticketing and/or towing.

Once those routes are cleeared plows will head to priority routes, whioch include the rest of 50 Ave and 50 Street as well as many residential streets.

However the town says with more snow expected in the forecast later this week, crews may be redirected to higher priority routes until those routes are cleared to an acceptable condition.

The town would also like to remind motorists that parking is acceptable in residential areas overnight between the hours of 7:00 pm and 7:00 am.
