Municipal Affairs Minister Shaye Anderson will be paying a visit to Drayton Valley Monday, as he meets with elected officials and residents from the area.

Minister Anderson will be touring the Clean Energy Technology Centre (CETC) this morning and then later meeting with local community groups. The CETC is being touted by the minister's office as great work being done in Alberta to diversify the economy and to create jobs.

The tour through the area continues Anderson's efforts started last year to reach out to communities as Minister of Municipal Affairs.

“I talk to folks as much as I can, and I know not all Alberta families are feeling the full effects of the recovery yet, but that’s why we will continue to have their backs as the recovery strengthens. Our priority is to set our economy and our future on stronger, more stable footing,” said Anderson.

Minister Anderson will head to the Thorsby Senior Drop-in Centre later today, and will finish his tour in Devon this afternoon.

Anderson was elected as MLA for Leduc-Beaumont in 2015, and was sworn in as Minister of Municipal Affairs in 2017.
