Emily White – Queens Basketball
Hometown – Horsens, Denmark
Management Certificate (3rd year)
White had a great weekend at both ends of the court and helped lead the RDC Queens to a pair of wins over the Briercrest College Clippers.
On Friday, the third-year student-athlete contributed 19 points, 12 rebounds, 1 block, 7 steals and 4 assists, and helped lead the Queens to an exciting 71-70 home victory. White was named the player-of-the-game.
The Management Certificate student shone defensively in Saturday’s 63-56 win. The forward from Horsens, Denmark accumulated 6 points, 13 rebounds, 4 blocks, 2 steals and 5 assists, and helped the Queens earn 4 out of 4 points in the standings. The win on Saturday was the third in a row for the RDC Queens.
Daniel Powell – Kings Basketball
Hometown – Phoenix, Arizona
Open Studies (4th year)
Powell is settling in nicely with the Kings after joining the team in the second semester. The Open Studies student was strong offensively and defensively this past weekend in two victories at home.
The forward stacked up 36 points, 16 rebounds, 4 steals and 3 assists as he helped the Kings earn a 94-67 victory Friday evening. Daniel also impressively went 8 out of 9 from the free-throw line and was chosen as the player-of-the-game.
The fourth-year student-athlete totaled 22 points, 18 rebounds, 2 steals and 2 assists in Saturday’s 95-72 win. Daniel, from Phoenix, Arizona, was perfect from the free-throw line and helped guide the Kings to their fourth consecutive win.
