Eleven stolen vehicles have been recovered by police from the Sunchild First Nation.

Rocky Mountain House RCMP say they conducted a 'targeted enforcement initiative' on Jan. 19.

As a result of the proactive patrols, RCMP recovered nine quads, one snowmobile and a truck, all stolen.

Mounties are actively notifying the registered owners of the vehicles.

Police are also seeking the owner of a 70cc Honda dirt bike also recovered during the patrols.

RCMP say a male, who was wanted in connection to charges stemming from a domestic violence incident, is in custody. Charges are yet to be laid.

Rocky RCMP are seeking the public's assistance in determining who is responsible for the theft of the vehicles which were recovered. If you have information about this investigation, call the Rocky detachment at 403-845-2882 or call your local police service.
