RCMP release sketch of suspect in New Year's Eve shooting near Drayton Valley

Drayton Valley RCMP have released a composite sketch of one male involved in shots being fired at a man walking on a highway east of Drayton Valley on New Year's Eve.

Police say on December 31, 2017 at approximately 7:00 pm, Mounties were called to an incident where a person had been shot at from a vehicle by an unknown male on Highway 624. The victim was not seriously injured in the incident.

The suspect vehicle, a white 2010 or newer Ford F150, 4 door truck with possible BC plates, left in an easterly direction on Highway 624. There were 4 occupants in the vehicle, 2 males in the front and 2 females in the back.

The one male suspect was described as Caucasian, approximately 45 years old, 5'9"-6' tall with a slender build, a rough complexion, brown eyes, dirty blond/light brown hair that was longer and stuck out on the sides of his hat. The suspect was also wearing glasses, had stubble on his face along with a scar on his lower right chin.

The sketch was developed from the description given by the victim.
