There's a happy update to share about a Sylvan Lake woman who'd lost her purse following her husband's death during the holidays.

Heather Coules, the mother of Mandi, told rdnewsNOW her daughter had lost her purse last week while her husband was in hospital. He later died on Boxing Day.

The purse, which she believed had been left at the Sylvan Lake WalMart or a gas station on Edmonton's south end on Christmas Eve, contained her wallet, identification, cash, and a number of gift cards given to her in the wake of her husband's health issues.

Coules reports that on New Year's Eve, Mandi returned home and the purse was hanging on her door, contents intact.
