Mounties in Stettler say a pedestrian suffered minor injuries when they were hit while walking to school on Tuesday.

Police say the crash happened just before 7 a.m. on 54 Street and that the suspect vehicle sped away from the scene.

It is described as an older car similar to a Caprice Classic that is white/grey in colour. The front windshield had a crack and the driver side tail light was cracked and burnt out. The suspect vehicle did not have hub caps.

Anyone who may have information is asked to call Stettler RCMP at 403-742-3382.
