A dealership in Drayton Valley is being forced to replace stolen parts from vehicles in their lot to the tune of tens of thousands of dollars.

RCMP say a report came in around 4 p.m. on December 14 from the dealership that nine vehicles in the lot had been tampered with and their catalytic converters taken off of the vehicle.

Police say the converters cost $7,000 each to replace.

A Ford dealership in High Prairie had a similar incident recently, but police believe the two cases aren’t related.

The incident is still under investigation.  Anyone with information regarding this incident are asked to contact Drayton Valley RCMP or call Crime Stoppers.
