For 15 years, Jim Elliott has been compiling and sharing a list of the "must see" Christmas light displays in Red Deer.
For a while he would rent transit buses to take kids and their parents on tours across the city to see take in the spectacular displays.
He doesn't do that anymore, but he and his son A.J. still enjoy putting the list together each year for Red Deerians to enjoy.

Note: When leaving Deer Park, you may want to check out Lancaster, Vanier Woods, Anders Park, Inglewood and Sunnybrook. In addition, there are beautiful homes in West Park, West Lake, Johnstone and Kentwood and many other subdivisions in Red Deer (all worth the drive). It is just impossible to fit them all into a Light Tour in a timely fashion. Please feel free to share this with the public. The entire route is approximately 2 ½ hours long which may be too much for some, especially smaller children. It might be advisable to break it up into smaller pieces. It is a fun thing to do on Christmas Eve or any other time.
