The search for a new Chief Administrative Office in the Town of Rocky Mountain House is now over.

After a months-long search that attracted many strong candidates from across western Canada, Town officials have announced Dean Krause as the new CAO.

Krause will assume his new role on January 22, 2018 and brings with him over 20 years of leadership experience in municipal government administration, including the last four as CAO in Westlock, Alberta.

Prior to that, Krause spent 18 years in the Town of High Level, Alberta where he began as a Development and Safety Codes Officer, then Director of Community and Development Services and eventually CAO.

He began his work career in the trades and working construction as a Project Manager before transitioning to municipal government in the mid 1990s.

Krause and his wife are described as avid outdoors people and look forward to contributing to the town and region both professionally and personally.
