The local Emergency Services Charity Check was one for the books and just in time for Christmas.

One of two check stops took place yesterday on Hwy. 11 in Rocky Mountain House where $6499.18 was donated along with 109 lbs of food to be given to the Lord's Food Bank.

The last check stop will take place in Caroline today on Hwy. 54. Non-perishable food items and monitary donations will be accepted and will go to the Shephard's Food Bank.

The check stop is from 11:00a.m. to 2:00p.m.

Larger donations may be dropped off at the Caroline Fire Hall.
