The Red Deer Rebels have traded forward Jared Dmytriw to the Vancouver Giants in exchange for a third round selection in the 2018 WHL Bantam Draft.

The Rebels acquired Dmytriw earlier this season from the Victoria Royals in exchange for defenceman Jared Freadrich.

Dmytriw, who is 19, has played in 205 WHL regular season games, scoring 35 goals and 24 assists for 59 career points. He has also played in 26 WHL playoff games, scoring 3 goals and 5 assists for 8 points.

In his brief time with the Rebels, Dmytriw played in 26 games and collected nine points (6 goals, 3 assists).

On Monday, the Rebels announced the addition of two affiliate players, both 16-year-old forwards, to their roster.

Justin Svenson was the team's third round selection in last year's Bantam Draft. Svenson is with Eastman of the MMHL.

River Fahey was chosen in round four of last year's draft and is with North Island of the BCMMHL.

The Rebels take on the Brandon Wheat Kings tonight at the Enmax Centrium (7 p.m. on 106.7 The Drive).
