RDC Curlers earn Boston Pizza Athletes of the Week honours

Red Deer College Athletics is proud to announce our Boston Pizza Athletes of the Week.

1. Katie Primrose – Queens Curling
Hometown – Rumsey, AB
Management Certificate (2nd year)

Katie Primrose, the lead on the RDC Queens Curling team, helped guide her squad to a 3-3 record this past weekend at the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) Curling Fall Regionals at the St. Paul Curling Club. Katie, a second-year student-athlete, showed her leadership and helped the Queens rebound from a couple of early losses. The Management Certificate student did a great job of setting up the ends all weekend.

2. Austin Kelts-Larsen – Kings Curling
Hometown – Red Deer, AB
Bachelor of Education Elementary (2nd year)

Austin Kelts-Larsen, the skip for the RDC Kings Curling team, helped lead his team to an impressive 5-0 record at the ACAC Curling Fall Regionals this past weekend. The Bachelor of Education Elementary student did a great job in his first year skipping at the college level. The second-year student-athlete from Red Deer curled extremely well all weekend and made an excellent final shot against Concordia University of Edmonton to help the Kings maintain an unbeaten record.

Conference games for Red Deer College teams will resume January, 2018.
