TORONTO — DeMar DeRozan has earned the NBA’s Eastern Conference player of the week honour after leading the Raptors to four consecutive wins.

It’s the sixth time DeRozan has won the award.

DeRozan averaged 26.8 points, 7.3 rebounds, 6.0 assists and shot 57 per cent from the field in Toronto’s season-high four-game winning streak. All four victories came against opponents with winning records, including a 129-113 road victory against the Western Conference leading Houston Rockets.

DeRozan began the week posting 27 points, six rebounds and five assists at Houston on Tuesday. He followed it up the next night with 25 points, nine rebounds and six assists in a 125-116 win at New Orleans. He scored 22 points in Friday’s 107-84 win against the New York Knicks, and capped the week with a team-high 33 points in Sunday’s 100-91 win versus Washington.
