RCMP made four arrests on Friday following a series of events stretching from Innisfail to the Nordegg area.

Around 7:15 a.m., Innisfail Mounties reported two stolen vehicles had been involved in a gas and dash at the Co-op gas bar in Spruce View. One of the vehicles, a Jeep Liberty, had been reported stolen out of Red Deer.

Both vehicles fled towards Caroline, RCMP say. Around 8 a.m., members located them at the intersection of highways 22 and 54 south of Rocky Mountain House. Officers attempted to stop the vehicle, but they sped away.

A short time later, RCMP in Rocky located both vehicles on Trunk Highway 734. Officers again tried to stop the vehicles but they fled once more before finally being stopped a short distance away.

Numerous stolen IDs, credit cards, bank cards and cheque books were located inside the vehicle. Police also found fake American and Canadian currency and equipment used to manufacture counterfeit money. A BB handgun, meth and marijuana were also seized.

Dylan Steinbach,24, of Innisfail faces 16 counts related to possession of stolen property, flight from police, producing counterfeit money, driving an uninsured vehicle and theft of fuel, among others.

Katie Lynn Carpenter, 19, of Red Deer faces 13 counts related to possession of stolen property, flight from police and counterfeit money.

Steinbach and Carpenter have both been released and are scheduled to appear in Red Deer court November 30.

Brenden Darcy Bowe, 26, of Red Deer, faces 30 counts related to possession of stolen vehicle, flight from police, possession of a weapon, assault of a police officer, and theft of fuel.

Bowe remains in custody and will appear in court via CCTV on November 22.

Natasha Fyfe, 32, of Three Hills, faces 20 counts related to possession of a stolen vehicle, flight from police, possession of meth and marijuana, and possession of a weapon.

Fyfe was released and is scheduled to appear in Rocky Mountain House court on November 29

Police say the majority of the stolen items were from Red Deer and Sylvan Lake.
