Ponoka RCMP investigate liquor store armed robbery

Ponoka RCMP are looking for public assistance in locating four suspects involved in an armed robbery.

The incident took place Monday night just before 8 p.m. at the Ponoka Liquor Store on 54 Street. 

Police say four young males, wearing all black with balaclavas covering their faces, entered the store. One was carrying a sawed-off bolt-action rifle.

The suspects took numerous bottles of alcohol from the shelves while the armed male ordered the clerk to empty the till of all its cash.

The four then fled in an unknown direction. No one was harmed.
