Newly-elected Brazeau County council sworn in

Brazeau County's newest council team was officially sworn in on Thursday.

Three incumbents were joined alongside three new faces as they took the oath of office that was given by Brazeau County's Executive Assistant Tina Kwirant.

Reeve Bart Guyon was acclaimed and is going onto his fourth nonconsecutive term. Councillor Sara Wheale also made history by becoming the youngest person to ever sit on county council at the age of 22. 

Returning Councillor Marc Gressler, who won in Division Three was chosen to be Deputy Reeve. The eight month term will be circulated around council with each councillor serving once during their tenure. 

Thursday's meeting also consisted of council appointing various board representatives from council and the community to different council committees.

The first meeting of the new county council will be on Tuesday, November 7.
