A search for suspects is underway after shots were fired during an armed robbery Thursday night in Innisfail.

Innisfail RCMP responded just after 11 p.m. to a complaint at the Fox and Hound bar.

Two masked males wearing oil patch-style coveralls entered armed with sawed-off weapons demanding cash.  Both males fired their weapons into the floor and an altercation ensued with a patron.

Police say both suspects were able to escape with an undisclosed amount of cash and flee in a white SUV-type vehicle driven by a female.

Anyone who may have information is asked to call Innisfail RCMP at 403-227-3342, Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS), or online at www.tipsubmit.com.
