Glencross roughstock event another success

There was a great turnout Friday at Westerner Park for the sixth annual Glencross Roughstock Invitational.

The event brings in top rodeo stock and competitors to town for a night of exciting action in support of Ronald McDonald House Central Alberta and the Hockey Alberta Foundation’s Every Kid, Every Community program.

Strathmore cowboy Scott Schiffner won the Bull Riding event for the second year in a row.

Dylan Bilton of Red Deer County took the Bareback title while Layton Green of Meeting Creek won Saddle Bronc.

Fundraising totals from the event will be announced later this year.
