New boil water advisory issued

The City of Red Deer issued another boil water advisory Sunday afternoon, affecting several homes in the city’s north end. 

In a tweet, the City said a water leak was the reason for the advisory being issued. A notice is posted on the City’s website. 

“The advisory will remain in place until water tests confirm that there is no contamination,” the notice says. 

The affected homes are along 78th Street Crescent. Several homes on 44th Avenue and 45th Avenue in the area of 50th (Ross) Street are also affected.

It’s not known how long the boil water advisories will be in effect.

Previous advisories issued for West Lake, West Park and Red Deer College were lifted on Friday.
