Aug 22, 2017 | 10:00 PM

Local Mounties are on the hunt for suspects after a man was shot at his home in Blackfalds Tuesday afternoon.

It was just after 12:30 p.m. when Blackfalds RCMP responded along with Emergency Services to a residence where a 47-year-old man had been shot.

Police say three male suspects in a dark blue Chevrolet pickup truck had pulled in behind the residence, entering the garage, shoving a 35-year-old woman to the ground.

The suspects, who were wearing black bandanas covering a portion of their face, then entered the residence through the back, confronting the 47-year-old male in an altercation that led to him being shot.

Witnesses report seeing a dark blue Chevrolet Pickup truck fleeing from the scene, as well as a gold coloured Chrysler Intrepid which was stolen from the residence.

The victim was rushed to the hospital where he is currently in stable condition.

Police believe the three male suspects were assisted by a female during the incident.
