Portion of trails in Gaetz Lakes Sanctuary closed for trail repaving

The Dr. George Trail in the Gaetz Lakes Sanctuary will be closed to the public today (Friday, Aug. 25) and tomorrow to accommodate repaving.

Weather pending, repaving is happening starting at the entrance to Gaetz Lakes Sanctuary from Kerry Wood Nature Centre to the Bird Blind Viewing Deck and towards the Wishart Trailhead.

The Dr. George Trail is expected to re-open to the public on Sunday, Aug. 27.

The Kerry Wood Nature Centre and adjacent playgrounds will remain open.
