Shots fired during Joffre break and enter

Police say shots were fired when a home near Joffre was broken into Sunday morning. 

According to Blackfalds RCMP, it was shortly before 5 a.m. when residents of the rural residence were woken by gunshots.

The home owner found later that morning their residence had been hit by two bullets, one of which penetrated the exterior wall of the home and was found inside.

Subsequent checks of the property found that a shop was broken into and a number of items stolen, including a generator and a chain saw.

No one was injured during the incident.
