Riggers off to Sunburst Baseball League Final

The Red Deer Riggers won a nail-biter Wednesday night to advance to the Sunburst Baseball League final.

The Riggers turned a game ending double play to hang on for a 3-2 win over the Tigers in St. Albert.

Red Deer sweeps the best of three semifinal series 2-0.

Denver Wik hit a two run home run for the Riggers while Josh Edwards turned in a complete game on the mound.

The Riggers will take on Sherwood Park in the league final:
