The Red Deer Rampage Jr. B Tier 1 lacrosse team is headed to nationals.

Despite coming up just short in the Rocky Mountain Lacrosse League provincial final over the weekend, Red Deer slots in as the top team from Alberta.

The Rampage lost to Manitoba in the gold medal game by a score of 12-8.

Their round robin included three wins against the same Manitoba team, as well as against squads from Calgary and Edmonton.

Nationals begin next Tuesday in Saskatoon.
