Red Deer photo radar locations: Aug 1 – 15

Red Deer RCMP is sharing where you can expect to see photo radar set up over the next couple of weeks.
 

Construction zones: 67 St. (fines double)      

Playground zones: McIntosh Ave., Boyce St., 50 Ave., Lancaster Dr., 55 Ave., Nolan St., Jewell St., Vanier Dr., Cornett Dr.

Traffic corridors: Webster Dr., 49 St., 49 Ave., 50 St., 50 Ave., Hwy 11A, Hwy 2A, 40 Ave.

A reminder that new playground and school zone hours took effect on Aug. 1:

– Playground zones: 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. every day of the year

– School zones: 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on school days  

Red Deer RCMP reserve the option of photo radar site/location changes without notice.

Red Deer City Council has approved the installation of intersection speed enforcement in Red Deer. Between July 11, 2017 and November 1, 2017, vehicles speeding through identified intersections will be photographed and the registered owner of the vehicle will be issued a warning ticket through the mail. After November 1, 2017, there will be a fine associated with these infractions.

Red light infractions and tickets issued by mobile photo radar units will continue to be issued as normal.
