Windstorm Update: Two Red Deer schools closed today

Red Deer Public Schools says two of its schools, Mountview and Gateway, are closed today (Wednesday) due to damage and power outages following last night’s windstorm.

Red Deer Catholic Regional Schools says all of its schools are open.

Buses for all open schools are running as per normal.

Drivers should also be mindful of clean-up crews and traffic lights that are still being repaired. 

Be safe out there – use caution when walking to school.
